Global activation and CRM agency MullenLowe Open has appointed Ed Lee into the newly created role of General Manager, UK. He will report to Anthony Hopper, Global CEO. The appointment is effective immediately.
The role has been created as a result of the dramatic growth of the agency after a string of global and domestic account wins in the past year including Etihad Airways and Lenovo, the Post Office and Visit England. Lee will oversee the UK flagship office, whilst Anthony Hopper and Simon Goodall, Global CSO, continue to build the business in new markets including the US and UAE.
Lee joins from Geometry Global, where he was Business Director responsible for regional client Bacardi Limited, and worked on accounts including Mondelez, Visa and HSBC Retail.
Hopper said, “We are delighted to welcome Ed to the team and excited by what he’ll bring to the UK agency and its clients. He knows how to create groundbreaking work and he shares our ambition to make MullenLowe Open the most respected activation network in the world.”
Lee said, “I’m incredibly excited to be joining the MullenLowe Open team. The agency is passionate about creating behaviour-changing creative work that transforms our clients’ businesses. I share that hunger and can’t wait to get started.”
Lee previously worked with MullenLowe Open’s Executive Leadership team, which also includes Simon Goodall (Global CSO) and Emma Perkins (ECD), at Saatchi & Saatchi.
The past 6 months have seen a series of big announcements from the agency including an office move, a global rebrand, ECD Emma Perkins mentoring for the winning team of the Great British Diversity Experiment, and account wins which include among others the Etihad Airways global direct business, beating incumbent agency, Lida.
